ball

so I played softball (slow pitch?) today. it was fun.
first time pretty much playing any form of ball (other than catch) in 7 years?
I did decent, I made some mistakes but no worse than anyone else on my team (actually our team is the worst in the league, so its easy not to look as bad as everyone) I batted ok. well actually I got out on 2 pop flies, and had one on base hit, and in the last inning got thrown out at third trying to go for a triple. and my run didn't count in the second inning cause your not suppposed to touch homeplate....apparently... stupid beer league rules.
I actually had alot of fun, but there is this guy on my team that really sucks. he doesn't run, doesn't hustle, he's afraid of the ball, so can't catch very well, and he's a crappy batter (although he can throw ok) the annoying thing... he thinks he's really good... but he's not... more annoying... he lives at my house!!!! (he's renting a room from my mother... ugghh.... this could be a long year)
what is cool though, is my mom is renting out 3 rooms to boarders... and it could end up all three of them playing on my team and they all (except you know who) are experienced players so that would be 4 people form the same house!! crazy!!!
anyways, blah blah blah

ok so... i read the book DUNE... its really good work of Sci-Fi, I would recommend it to anyone... ANYONE... very well written. Oddly enough, I don't plan on reading the sequal or the next 4 books... I just have this feeling that the first one was so good that I could ruin it for myself by reading a next one that doesn't quite live up to my imagination.
well thats silly
and i'm not convinced I have alot of time in my schedule to spend it reading books all day.

so i'm helping out with the provintial election coming up that should be.... fun... well lets be honest... i'm doing it cause it pays $225 for a day of work. :)

Finally Kimi Raikonen won a race. He's like one of my favorite drivers, he's also one of the best, but he's had a terrible string of luck the last few races. So it was good to see him win.

umm... intresting tidbit, barry bonds is under investgation for tax fraud.... what next?
