Life as a machine

_________________________

I am a biological machine
trapped between walls of living tissue

I am a biological machine
a slave to my genetic programing

I am a biological machine
a complex assortment of reactions
both learned and passed down
designed only to
keep the program alive

I am a biological machine
everything i do, to protect the code
everything i do, to pass on the code
when this vessel expires
the code must endure

I am a biological machine
flawed from the outset
the algorithm no longer matches the query
the variables no longer fit in the equation

I am a biological machine
I must find a way to adapt
I must fix the equation
I must find the missing peice
the missing numbers
the missing code
that will allow the equation to adapt
I must find the missing variables
I must find the proper algorithm
So i can survive
So the code can survive.

I am a biological machine
only dimly aware of anything else

This is sad because it's true, but then I hope you don't always look at life from this perspective. You'll end up really sad if you do I think.

I don't think its true.
at least not entirely.
I beleive in God and purpose and all that.
